On December 1st, 2016 Shiri posted a photo along with her co-star Brett Gelman on Instagram and announced: “I made a lovely film with this handsome fella @brettgelman this summer and it will now have its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival!! So happy for everyone involved in LEMON 🍋”
Comedian Brett Gelman and director Janicza Bravo co-wrote “Lemon”. The movie first aired at the Sundance Film Festival on Sunday, January 22nd at 9 PM. A schedule with more screenings is available here.
Shiri plays Ruthie, the sister of the protagonist in the dark comedy.
Her former Roswell guest-star and Dating Rules actor is part of this movie as well. We now know, that the paths of Martin Starr and Shiri Appleby crossed once again when they both were on set of this movie. Judy Greer, Michael Cera, Nia Long, Fred Melamed, Megan Mullally, Gillian Jacobs and Jeff Garlin are also starring.
Isaac Lachmann has seen better days. Yesterday, UnREAL star Shiri Appleby attended the “Women in Global Entertainment Power Lunch” in Cannes, France. During the panel, Shiri discussed her role in UnREAL, what female empowerment means today, and that there has been a change in the TV business.

“Appleby added that there has been a big shift during the 15 years she has been in the TV business, pointing out that on Roswell, which she starred in from 1999-2002, there was one female director in 65* episodes. During the 10-episode first season of Lifetime’s UnREAL four episodes were directed by women.”

The paths of Martin Starr and Shiri Appleby crossed once again. Shiri shared a fun photo with Martin Starr on social media. She captured it with “This guy!”. No word, if they just ran into each other or if they are up to something work related.
Martin Starr, who had a guest role on Roswell’s third season, has recently been added to the cast of Marvel’s Spider-Man “Homecoming” and he is best known for his work on HBO’s “Silicon Valley”.
In the first season of the web series “Dating Rules For My Future Self”, Shiri Appleby played app-designer Lucy Lambert, a twenty-something looking for love with the help of her two best friends and secret texts from her future self. Martin Starr, Mircea Monroe, Alison Becker and Taylor Kinney were starring alongside Shiri.
Martin Starr was a guest star in CBS’ “Life In Pieces” and shared the screen with Colin Hanks in pretty funny role recently, as well.
