Yesterday, UnREAL star Shiri Appleby attended the “Women in Global Entertainment Power Lunch” in Cannes, France. During the panel, Shiri discussed her role in UnREAL, what female empowerment means today, and that there has been a change in the TV business.

“Appleby added that there has been a big shift during the 15 years she has been in the TV business, pointing out that on Roswell, which she starred in from 1999-2002, there was one female director in 65* episodes. During the 10-episode first season of Lifetime’s UnREAL four episodes were directed by women.”

Thanks to the E!Online team, we know some more about Shiri’s little Roswell Reunion. On Memorial weekend, she visited the Science Center with her family. There, she ran into her former Roswell co-star Jason Behr.

“I was at the Science Center with my kids in Vancouver, and he just tapped me on the shoulder, and it took me a minute to realize it was him!” she told us. “Huge hugs, we talked. Our kids are around the same age, and of course, I was like, social media is asking me to take a photo of the two of us right now so I handed [husband] Jon [Shook] the [phone] and he took a picture of us.”
“Look who I ran into at Science World!!”, Shiri Appleby captioned one photo of her visit at Science World in Vancouver. She took to Instagram to share the pic with her former “Roswell” co-star Jason Behr. She added the hashtags #lizandmax4eva and #roswell, as well.
