Shiri Appleby is scheduled to participate in a theatrical benefit to raise funds for the Susan G. Komen “3-Day for the Cure”® event. Our former Life Unexpected darling currently rehearsals for the play “Snapshots 2011” which will celebrate its premiere on September 28th.

Snapshots is a collection of one-act plays started in 2004 to raise money for the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure. This theater project for the worthy cause, “originates from some friends getting together to put on a one night benefit to raise money for breast cancer research,” Snapshots explains exclusively and adds “What it has grown into is a high quality night of theater that now plays to 5 sold out nights.”

In this years theater event, a star-studded ensemble is going to be on stage of the Stella Adler Theater in Los Angeles. Involved this year are Shiri Appleby, Adhir Kalyan, Gloria Calderón Kellett and Eyal Podell, just to name some of them. “Everyone involved in the production gives freely of their time for this worthy cause and the good energy that surrounds the production is unparalleled,” Snapshots tells.

In “Snapshots 2011” Shiri plays a character named Jenna. Since the collection consists of 10-15 minute vignettes there is really no underlying storyline. When we asked Snapshots for some further information about Shiri’s role they revealed:

“Shiri, like everyone else in the show finds herself in a romantic comedy trying to figure out life’s relationships. The theme of the night would be romantic comedies about relationships.”

According to Snapshots, this is Shiri’s second time on stage and she is thrilled to be asked by Gloria Calderón Kellett to play again. Earlier this year, Shiri was a part of the 24 Hour Hollywood Rush. (You can read more here.)

On Twitter Shiri shared a behind-the-scenes picture with her co-stars Adhir Kalyan and Gloria Claderon Kellett. She tweeted: “Play rehearsal for snapshotsbenefit.com. Come check us out! We’re pretty adorable, don’tcha think?” More photos from the rehearsals are available on the official website www.snapshotsbenefit.com.

In addition, you can watch some short clips in the video section. There, you can see Shiri and her former “Pizza My Heart” (2005) co-star Eyal Podell introducing themselves and making fun.

Please make sure to be a part of this great event and support the Susan G. Komen fundraiser. In addition, it’s a unique opportunity to see Shiri acting live on stage and you can expect “a night of entertainment with laugh out loud moments.”

Tickets are available now at Brownpapertickets.com for $20.00 ($21.69 w/service fee).
